Today, I am back on the blog talking all things autumn! You can certainly tell Autumn/Winter has arrived, as things have turned rather chilly! I love the colours of clothing that start appearing around this time of the year. The most popular this Autumn, (and certainly my favourite), is Mustard Yellow! Everywhere I go, and in every shop window I have seen, I find a garment in Mustard Yellow. However, other on trend colours this season are, burgundy, dusky pink, grey, cream and beige. Autumn is the perfect time to go for long walks, (as you can imagine in my house, this is a regular occurrence, considering we have 3 dogs). Last weekend, we visited one of our favourite local parks. We had such a lovely time, and the dogs loved running through the leaves. If you follow me on Instagram, you may already know what my favourite knitwear piece this season is. However, if you don’t, you do now. As you will see from the picture above my Mustard jumper made another appearance for our crisp, autumn walk, last week (as well as Rosalie, who decided to get in on the photo opportunity – I wonder who she gets this from?). I got this jumper from Primark last month, it is ever so cosy and matches perfectly with a pair of ripped jeans and white trainers and is great quality. It was originally in their trend area, as it had been featured in the UK’s fashion magazine Glamour, and I can certainly see why! Another of my Autumn essentials is this gorgeous, (Chloe inspired), handbag. Embroidery has slipped from Summer, into Autumn. I’m glad as this trend is too nice to lose! This is just another amazing Primark find at only £6!!! I literally fell in love with this bag as soon as I saw it, the pattern on it is embroidered butterflies, with the back and sides being the same pink colour as behind the gold metal circle & it’s so soft! I use this all the time at the moment as it goes with pretty much everything, especially a pair of jeans. My final Autumn essentials are this gorgeous faux fur biker jacket and Mustard beanie hat, and my Burberry inspired scarf – although I have some lovely, thicker scarves for when the cold really hits! The jacket and beanie hat are both from Primark (this year), and the Burberry inspired scarf was from a stall last Christmas and cost only £5 and I absolutely love it, it’s so stylish! I get asked a lot where I got this faux fur biker jacket from, and people are always surprised when I say Primark as they think it looks more expensive. Not only does it look more expensive, it feels it. It is such amazing quality, so thick and so warm! Recently, I have really wanted to go to a Pumpkin patch, to go Pumpkin picking – and to take lots of Autumnal photographs. I would love to find one that we could take Lexi, Rosalie and Summer to, they’d look so cute amongst the pumpkins! However, I think that this is probably impossible. If you live in the East Midlands and know of any Pumpkin patches, (dog or not dog friendly), please leave me some suggestions in the comments below. This photo basically explains how I spent my Sunday night, last night. Snuggled up in cosy clothes, with a warm drink, and burning my favourite Yankee Candle scent, (Pink Sands). Oh, and munching on a bar of chocolate, just to keep things sweet. I also lit my fairy lights, and after X-Factor, (FINALLY), watched the film A Dogs Purpose – which was such a cute film (and yes I did cry a little)!
I hope you enjoyed reading about my Autumn essentials, and I hope you are all getting out and enjoying the Autumnal prettiness, whilst it lasts! Thanks for reading. Much Love, Francesca x (Both Pumpkin photos are from Pinterest.com)

Just a quick post this week - I've struggled to write a new blog post in the last few days, I'm not really sure why. (I think it must be a mix of writers block and not feeling 100%). Because of this I have chosen end the week with some inspirational photos I found on Pinterest. Hopefully this will get me back into the swing of blogging, ready for the new week ahead! (However I don't know the original owners of these photos - so please if you know, or they are your images please comment below and I'll be happy to credit it back to you/the owner). The first image I have chosen to share is of Pluto and an assistance dog in DLP. As it was #nationaldogday yesterday, I felt this would honour that well. This photo is adorable, obviously I chose it also because of my love for dogs. (I really wish I could take my dogs to meet Pluto - how cute would that be?). Well that's my Disney and Dog fix done for today! On to image number 2, and the fashion section of this post. I have chosen this photo of a Chloe bag. I keep seeing these everywhere at the moment (real and dupes) and I absolutely love them! I am looking to purchase a dupe version, so if anyone knows of any great ones, please leave me some suggestions in the comments below. My favourite aspect of these bags is the metal circle and clip, as simple as this is, it is a fabulous feature, and gives a classy appearance. Other reals and dupes I'm loving at the moment are Gucci and Chanel - Gucci because of the patterns in the fabric of the bag and Chanel because of the quilted aesthetic and mixture of leather and chain strap. The last photo I have chosen to share is this lovely mesh/embroidered outfit. Summer 2017 has been all about the mesh and embroidery look (usually matched with a Gucci/dupe belt around the jeans/trousers) - AGAIN I love these belts they're so stylish! As this is not my photo I am not familiar with where these garments are from but the Bardot crop, and, floating long sleeved, top especially is gorgeous. I love sharing my favourite fashion looks, and hope to share more like this in the future, (with maybe some of my own photos, of outfits I have laid out), but this is a start.
I hope you enjoyed reading, and I will get back into blogging this week, I promise :). Much Love, Francesca x First off Happy Sunday! Two blog posts in one weekend – not going to be a regular thing, but I’ve been crazy busy this week and haven’t had time to write any posts, so hopefully this makes up for that. As I’m sure most of you guys are aware, I’m a massive dog lover! I actually own a second Instagram account called @lifeisbetterwith_3. This account is dedicated to my 3 beautiful fur-babies, Lexi (a 3 and a half year old, West Highland white terrier), Rosalie (a 1 and a half year old, black and cream Miniature Long Haired Dachshund), and Summer (a 1 year old, English cream Miniature Long Haired Dachshund). Please feel free to check out their page, give them some love, and follow their adventures through life. If you are OR you have a dog/pet account, also give us a follow as we’re more than likely to follow you back! (Lexi, Rosalie and Summer featured below in their Ditsy Pet bandanas). This blog post is going to be Dog Fashion based (which is where my interests lie with regards to a career). My lovely little Rosalie (pictured above, and later in this post) won a giveaway a few weeks ago, by Franklin and Jacob. For those of you who don’t know who they are, and what they do here’s a little insight for you. Franklin and Jacob are an Etsy store who sell handmade collars, bandanas and bowties for all the lovely little fur-babies in our lives. (@frankie_the_mini_sausage) – Another miniature long haired dachshie - is CEO of the company and has the CUTEST Instagram so please be sure to head over to his page and give him some love! When entering the giveaway, I never imagined Rosalie winning, but watching Frankie pull her name out of all the little slips of paper (with the other contestants names on), was the cherry on top – and what an amazing idea to let him choose too. Rosalie not only won their adorable pink and white stripe collar set, but had the set named after her too. When her lovely giveaway prize arrived, it was packaged beautifully, all sealed in little plastic bags, with pretty floral and polka dot cards in behind each individual piece (which you can see for yourself in the photos below). Ohhh and didn’t I know the package was for Rosalie, she laid on top of it as if to say ‘no touching mumma, this is all mine’ – cheeky little monkey but it was rather cute that she was claiming her prize. Before I continue I want to thank and mention (https://www.instagram.com/franklinandjacob/). Their products are beautifully made and are great quality too, so please, please, if you have your own fur-baby, or have a friend that does, check out their fabulous products – and make a purchase you will not regret. We have our eyes on purchasing the watermelon set next for little Summer. ;) The link to their Etsy shop is in their Instagram bio, and by using the code ‘INSTAFRIEND10’ you can get 10% off! We took the girls - I call them this a lot! - (Lexi, Rosalie and Summer) to their favourite local park. It was Rosalie’s first outing in her new collar set, so of course I took the camera and captured the moment. She looked so cute and loved showing off in front of all the doggie friends she made! The bandana is pink and white stripe at the front with a pink backing, you can turn the top over a couple of times to be able to see both sides, and does up by tying the two ends together in a knot (not too tight)! The bow tie slips easily, over the collar by an elastic loop, so you can use the collar with or without the bow tie – though we absolutely love the bow tie and use it all the time. Finally the collar does up with a silver, metal buckle, and is ever so soft on the dogs neck (the collar also includes a D-ring to pop their lead or ID tag onto). You’ll see more of Rosalie and her best pals in future blog posts. Much Love, Francesca x So, I have finally got around to writing my first blog post, (it's been a long time coming)! Time either seems to run away with me, or my nerves hit, and I just say to myself 'oh I'll do it tomorrow', well tomorrow is here, so I better get on with it...
If you haven't found this blog through my Instagram (frxnkiexo_), then I'll let you in on what I plan to write about. This blog will contain everything I have an interest in from photography, fashion, dog/dog fashion and Disney. I will also write the occasional post about everything in between (this might be a visit to London or a holiday I've been on). I am hoping to be able to work with some amazing companies through this blog too - although my ultimate goal in life is to work within Dog Fashion, (bandana's, clothing, etc.). I will write a separate blog post all about my love for dogs, and dog fashion in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled for that! (I will most likely do this for my other passions - listed above, too) I have had one previous blog before now. This was something I added to when I was studying Fashion, Textiles and Decorative Crafts, at college, which included images of my work and explanations on how I got to my final piece, as well as discussing a little about the project brief and changes made along the way. (I will leave the link in the comments below). If you want to connect with me or work with me, I have a tab at the top of the page called 'contact', please click on this to find out how to email me. Please also feel free to leave me any comments below, however negative comments will be deleted and reported if abusive. Future blog posts will include photographs which will be my own unless stated otherwise, however future posts will be themed, as this is just an introduction into blogging. In the mean time, feel free to look me up on instagram to see what I love to photograph and what I'm up to! Much Love, Francesca x |
